The park features an 880-acre reservoir at its center which is shared by powerboats, sailboats, jet skis, and paddle craft.     Yes, in fact, Cherry Creek Reservoir has produced more trophy size fish than any other in the Denver vicinity and is well known by local fisherman for trout, largemouth bass, perch, and crappie. With 160 acres of water surface, fishing is by artificial flies and lures only. They do offer ice fishing in the winter when conditions permit.     Yes, visitors of Cherry Creek State Park can rent jet skis and boats from the Marina. Prices start at $85/hour, and all users must be 18 years of age to operate a jet ski or boat with a valid driver’s license. A written and practical competency test must be passed before the first rental of any sail or power boat from the marina. All rentals include safety equipment and life jackets.
