    Cool off in summer or fish in winter at the beautiful Aurora Reservoir. Enjoy Colorado's great outdoors with fun activities and water sports, like boating, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and scuba diving the 800-acre reservoir. Relax or take a swim from the seasonal beach open Memorial Day through September. Walk, bike, or run on the 8.5 miles trail around the reservoir in a serene setting. The park area is a great spot for family gatherings, picnics, and photo shoots.

    • Can you rent kayaks or paddleboards at Aurora Reservoir?

      Starting Memorial Day weekend, rentals for kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available from 8 am - 4 pm, weather permitting. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards and are on a first come, first served basis. Each rental is per person with no sharing allowed. Each renter must have a valid driver's license and be over 18 years old. Children under 13 can operate a kayak or board with a parent or guardian in the water with them.

      All rentals include life jackets which must be worn at all times. Rentals are $15/hour for Kayak or Stand-Up Paddleboard. 

    • Is Aurora Reservoir open for swimming?

      The Swim Beach at Aurora Reservoir is open from Memorial Day Weekend through September 30, perfect for swims on summer days in Colorado. There are lifeguards on duty from 10 am - 6 pm. Visitors can enjoy the beach area during park hours for swimming, picnics, and sunbathing, however grilling is not permitted.
